Our room itself was reasonably large and well-equipped with a terrace:)))

The room offers a fine view of the river. The shared bathrooms are clean and modern were good.
Loud guests can disrupt the peace, given the traditional structure's thin walls. Privacy worries arise when staff enter rooms without prior notice. The older building's age shows in winter temperatures, as even with two heaters, the rooms can feel quite chilly at night.

Everybody was very welcoming and exceptional and the room was fantastic. The location was magnificent, just a short stroll away from Yoshijima Heritage House. Moreover, it was close to the main shopping street and the river in Takayama.

Location: the hotel was adjacent to the river, the morning market, and a block or two from the traditional merchants quarter and the bridge from the historic district and the Miyagawa Morning Market and an interesting looking shopping area. Found a place called Takamine, set near the venue, ate there a few times...

The Japanese-Style Room with Shared Bathroom was cozy, filled with charm. Lots of space for our things and the futon beds were super comfy! The view of the river from the room was beautiful, made mornings even nicer. The shared bathroom was clean, but there was some noise from other guests, a bit distracting. It seemed like a unique experience steeped in tradition.
